ROTARIANS’ YEAR

SUCCESSFUL FINALE A successful year’s activities were brought to a close today at the final meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club for 1942, which took the form of the usual weekly luncheon. Mr Arthur Fow presided, and in wishing Rotarians a happier New Year he urged them not to let up on the war effort because of better war news in recent weeks. “Although Britain had her back to the wall in June 1940, Germany could not invade her, yet to win this war Britain has still to invade Germany and conquer her. There is a big job still to do. The strain next year will be hard but we must carry on and make a job of it.” Mr Fow also referred to pending post-war problems and urged his hearers to envisage the necessity for change. Knowledge and understanding were required, and the watchword for 1943 should be: “Get to know the other fellow.”
