WEDDING

GAZE—STEPHENSON A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Church of tne Redeemer, Te Mata, on Tuesday, February 17, when Blanche Ellen, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Stephenson, Te Mata, was married to John Henry, only son of Mr and Mrs H. E. Gaze, of Hamilton. The ceremony was performed by Father O’Keane, nuptial mass being celebrated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming frock of white satin designed with a flared skirt, shirred shoulders, short sleeves, and a goffer,ed front and neck frill. The V-shaped neck-line was finished with a spray of white flowers and small buttons adorned the back. Her net veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and her bouquet was of carnations and asparagus fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Rita Winchester, was in an Early Victorian frock of pink net over taffeta worn with a pink net picture hat and mittens to match. She carried a Victorian posy of phlox and asparagus fern. Mr Walter Stephenson carried out the duties of best man. A reception was held in the Te Mata Hall. Mrs Stephenson wore a tailored tweed frock with a creme lace front and a black hat and she carried a posy of phlox and asparagus fern. Mrs H. Gaze wore an Air Force blue costume and hat and she carried a posy of phlox and asparagus fern. Mr and Mrs J. H. Gaze will make their home at Te Hukuwai.
