A small consignment of apricots made 13s 6d to 15s 6d a case; Gravenstein apples 8s to 10s, Dunn’s and Ballarats 8s to 10s; hothouse grapes Is 9d to 2s a lb., with a firm demand; peaches, 7s 6d to 10; a case, plums 6s 6d to 8s Bd, Bon Cretien pears 10s to 14s, Packham . Triumph pears 12s 6d. Lemon were scarce, and oranges unprocur able. Ripe bananas were sold i up to 30s a case, and supplies limited.
