E.P.S. CONFERENCE
MEETING WAR CONDITIONS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday Representatives from 25 districts, including the main centres/ were present at a national conference of the Emergency Precautions Service which opened in Wellington today under the chairmanship of the Hon. R. Semple. The Minister said that the main object of the conference was to bring the organisation up to maximum strength and the highest efficiency to cope with wartime conditions. The conference will be continued this afternoon, when Mr J. S. Hunter. Director of National Service, will preside.
