MOVE FOR RISE SUPPORTED
The resolution passed at a meeting of the combined railwaymen’s unions in Auckland demanding an immediate increase in wages was supported at a meeting of the Waikato branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. The meeting cor/jidered that members’ promotion should not be held up because of the war, as when the time came to resign their superannuation would be less th.an m normal circumstances.
