DESTRUCTION OF GUAM PLANES WITH SWASTIKA (United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Dec. 9, 11.25 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 According to the United Press of America, Mr Roosevelt made a frank report of the Hawaiian bombings to the legislative leaders. It is reported that he said .the Pearl Harbour naval base was seriously damaged. The main units of the fleet were in the harbour when the Japanese attacked. It is also reported that he said Guam had virtually been destroyed. However, the full extent of the damage, especially at Hawaii, would be withheld as a military secret. White House received an unconfirmed report that some of the planes bore the Nazi swastika. The capital was partly blacked out early this morning.
