VESSEL BEACHED
STRUCK SUBMERGED OBJECT EXTENT OF DAMAGE UNKNOWN (By Telegraph.—rrcss Association) AUCKLAND, Friday i Advice has been received that the Northern Steamship Company’s motor vessel Motu struck a submerged obstruction on the way from Tauranga to Auckland last night and ' was beached near Whitianga, Mercury Bay. The extent of the damage is unknown. | Members of the crew are Captain j William Bark, T. Monoghan (mate), A. Webb and R. Campbell (engineers), A. Anderson, A. McLean, J. Croul and J. Gaw (able seamen), K. Todd (boy) and J. Headington (cook).
