WELCOME HOME

FUNCTION AT TE RAPA A pleasant card and dance evening was held in the Forest Lake Hall during the week when opportunity was taken to welcome home from overseas Captain L. A. Radford and Private Gurnell. Each man was presented with a small cheque by the president of the Te Rapa District Fund for soldiers’ benefits, Mr A. Holmes. The flag five hundred was won by Mrs E. C. Watkins, Mrs F. Pickup and Mr A. Leonard. Takings during the evening amounted to £lO, this amount being placed to the credit of the fund. For tough old colds “Baxters” is easily the best remedy. “Baxters” will fix the deepest seated cough, and fix it quickly. There is nothing so pleasant, so safe or so pure as “Baxters,” the proved remedy with the tonic action. (5)
