CLEMENT—DUNCAN The marriage of Agnes Margaret Joy Duncan, youngest daugmer of Mr William Duncan, of Hinemoa Street, Hamilton, and the late Mrs Duncan, ana Sergeant Christopher Aubrey Clement, R.N.Z.A.E., Ohakea, only son of Mrs H. M. Clement, of Adelaide, South Australia, and the late Mr Clement, was solemnised at St. George’s Anglican Church on Saturday, August 30. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. V. A. Bianchi, and Captain W. Dingle presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a finely tucked model afternoon frock of sapphire blue suede sheer, and a navy and white picture hat and matching accessories. Her corsage spray was composed of white hyacinths and gardenias.

Miss Eileen Carr attended as bridesmaid in a frock of petal pink suede trimmed with self-embroidery and worn with a black hat and accessories, and a shoulder spray of wood hyacinths and cyclamen. Corporal H. Gaskeli, R.N.Z.A.F., New Plymouth, was the best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride. LINDSAY—MURPHY A charming wedding was solemnised at the church of Our Lady of the Rosary at Hamilton on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, when Eileen Teresa, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Jerry Murphy, of Wilson Street, Hamilton East, was married to Edward Stuart, third son of Mrs E. M. Lindsay, of Whatawhata, and the late Mr A. S. Lindsay. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father O’Kane, and the wedding music was played by Mr J. T. Battersby. Lilies, jonquils and poppies were beautifully arranged in the church.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of cream slipper satin cut on classical lines. The bodice, which was shirred and inset with lace, featured a high neckline and long sleeves tapering to points over the hands. The full skirt fell in soft folds to form a long scalloped fan-shaped train inset with lace. Her veil of embroidered tulle was caught to the head by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of pearl azaleas, daffodils and freezias. The Bridesmaids Misses M. and J. Lynch and Miss Joy Howell attended as bridesmaids, and they were wearing graceful gowns of cyclamen taffeta designed with yoked bodices, Peter Pan collars, three-quarter length sleeves and bouffant skirts trimmed with cyclamen and pink ribbon streamers hanging from ribbon rosettes at the waistlines. Shoulder-length net veils held in place with topknots of cyclamen and pink roses ana net mittens were worn and they carried bouquets of sweet peas, stocks and cyclamens. Mr L. Hardwick was the best man and the groomsmen were Messrs J. Forster and J. Murphy, brother of the bride.

The reception was held at the Centrtway Rooms, which were artistically decorated with cyclamen and pink flowers. The mother of the bride received the guests in a navy frock worn with a black coat, a navy hat and furs. The mother of ihe bridegroom was in a Glamis pink ensemble, a matching hat and furs. They both carried posies of carnations and sweet peas. When Mr and Mrs E. S. Lindsay left by car for their honeymoon, the bride travelled in a vieux rose frock, teal coat and hat and black accessories.

They will make their home at Whatawhata.
