AUTUMN MEETING

WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB TAILORED SUITS POPULAR Autumn sunshine and a colder atmosphere to be provided for later in the day combined to make the choice of clothes somewhat difficult for the women patrons of the autumn meeting of the Waikato Trotting Club (Inc.), which was held on Saturday at Claudelands. There was no uniform preference, woollen suits and frocks, heavier ensembles and fur coats all being worn. Silver fox furs were popular, and there were also some beautiful capes in a variety of furs. For a long time navy blue and black have been the predominating colours chosen by women for their ensembles, and it is a matter of moment that other colours such as the new Indian penny, chicory brown, fleet blue and hacienda green are now becoming popular.
