NAVY AGAIN ACTIVE BENGHAZI ATTACKED (United Press Asan—Elec. Tel. Copyrlfbt) LONDON, May 10 British naval forces carried out an attack on the harbour at Benghazi early on Thursday morning, says an Admiralty communique quoted in a British official wireless message. Hits were observed on enemy shipping alongside the wharves. The town was also successfully attacked from the air. Two enemy supply ships were intercepted while approaching the harbour and destrqyed. One was of 3000 tons and the other was an ammunition ship of between 5000 and 6000 tons. It was blown to bits.
A Cairo communique says there is nothing important to repoit from Tobruk. Active patrolling by mechanised columns is continuing at Solium. Operations have again been hampered by severe sandstorms.
In an attack on Derna four large fires were started. Bombs were also dropped on roads east of Tobruk and north of Baria, where motor transport was destroyed.
