NEED FOR ROOMS
FACILITIES FOR WOMEN DISCUSSION AT WHATAWHATA Several members of the Whatawhata branch of the Farmers’ Union voiced opinions on the need for rest rooms and nurseries in Hamilton for country women at a meeting of members last night when Mr H. Johnstone presided. During the discussion it was pointed out that there was difficulty in obtaining ground floor rooms in j a central position. It was suggested . that a portion of Bledisloe Hall might I be available. Work On Wharves | A resolution was unanimously ! carried supporting the action of the chairman and secretary in offering to organise labour to assist on the wharves in case of emergency.
