Mr Maurice Anderson, of Masterton, is visiting Hamilton. Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, travelled to Wellington last night. Mr J. Miller, architect to the Auckland Education Board, was in Hamilton yesterday. Messrs R. L. Preston (Auckland), J. L. Scott (Te Aroha), and J. Nisbet (Wellington) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr W. Marshall, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, Limited, is visiting Wellington. Mr C. L. Mac Diarmid, of Hamilton, left yesterday for New Plymouth. He will later travel to Palmerston North. . Mr Hugh Duncan, a wellknown Auckland cricket executive and a former selector of the representative team, was in Hamilton yesterday. Major J. G. C. Wales, M.C., who has been staff officer in charge of training at Papakura camp, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenantcolonel, and has been transferred to the Expeditionary Force. Mr E. G. Rhodes, second son of Mr E. H. Rhodes. Pukeatua, leaves on Saturday for Levin to take up training as a pilot in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. A 'brother. Sergeant-Observer D. E. Rhodes, has arrived safely in Egypt, according to a cable received this week by his father.
