MARIST HIGH SCHOOL H. LINSTROM SENIOR CHAMPION The annual swimming sports of the Marist High School were concluded at the Hamilton Municipal Baths yesterday morning. The three championships were keenly contested and there were many close finishes. H. Linstrom won the senior championship, the intermediate title went to H. Cox, and the junior championship to T. TONIGHTS CARNIVAL THRILLING RELAY RACES The Hamilton Swimming Club championships, being staged tonight in the Municipal Baths, should atj tract a great crowd, as this is the first championship carnival to be run by this club. The club was formed three years ago. by combining the Technical Old Boys and the Hamilton High School Old Boys swimming clubs. The patrons are Messrs W. Fraser and H. D. Tait, -tid the inter- I est of the pupils and old boys is !

manifest by the big membership For the first time special relay ; races are placed on the programme ; for inter-collegiate old boys, secondary schools and orimary schools, . and large entries have been received. ; The club committee is so pleased with | the large entries in the old boys re- ’ lay race that It has been decided to make this an annual event, and a suitable trophy is being obtained. Entries have been received from Timaru High School Old Boys, Lincoln Old Boys, Gisborne High School Old Boys, Marist Old Boys, Hamilton High School Old Boys, Taranaki Old Boys, and Hamilton Technical College Old Boys, and whichever team wins this event will certainly make swimming history in the ! Waikato. The secondary schools relay will also be very interesting. The holders of this event last year are Hamilton High School members of the C Club.
