RETURNED SOLDIERS
MEMBERSHIP INCREASE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday A meeting'of the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Returned 1 Soldiers’ Association decided to request the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to expedite the decision regarding the increase in rate of dependents’ allowances to conform with the recent wage increases in New Zealand. It was reported that financial membership of the association on December 31 was 34,272, an increase of 7822 compared with the same date in ; the previous year.
