POISONING SUSPECTED MOTHER’S DEATH AT HOME (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday About 10.15 a.m. to-day, Mrs Mabel Cowman was found dead at her home. Her husband, Mr Norman Cowman, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 3.15 p.m., suffering from poisoning. Two daughters, Nola, aged eight, and Shirley, aged three, were admitted to hospital at 4.30 p.m., also suffering from poisoning. It is believed that Mrs Cowman’s death and the condition of the husband and daughters was caused by eating pipis. An inquest has been opened into the death of Mrs (fowman and a post mortem ordered. The condition of those in hospital is satisfactory.
