MORE MEN EXAMINED
50 PER CENT PASS DOCTORS The. second stage in the medical examination of first ballot men was commenced in Hamilton yesterday. Medical boards will sit in Hamilton on four days of this week, and three boards have been arranged for Te Awamutu. Boards for other centres are being arranged for next week. In Hamilton yesterday 68 men were examined 28 being passed as fit for’ active service and the remaining 40 declared either temporarily or permanently unfit. Today an additional 30 were examined, 21 passing fit, four being temporarily unfit and five permanently unfit. The percentage of men fit on the first two days of this week was thus exactly 50 per cent. Further medical boards will sit in Hamilton on Wednesday and Thursday. Boards will sit at Te Awamutu next Friday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
