MATAMATA FAREWELL
Miss Mary Dinsdale was the guest-of-honour at a farewell evening held in Mr Selwyn Duxfield’s barn, Station Road, Matamata, before her departure for Papakura, where she has taken up a position. During the evening Mr Duxfield, on behalf of those present, wished Miss Dinsdale every success in her new sphere, and asked her to accept, as a token of the esteem in which she was held, a handsome leather hat box. Miss Dinsdale suitably replied. Among those present were:—Mesdames Russell White, J. Malligan, Junr., G. Goodwin. Misses Thelma Chilton, Betty Tims, Madge Harray, Twinkie Hunt, Hilda Chilton, Elaine Harray, Oiga Loveridge. Dorothy Chilton, Jean Lowrie, Hazel Duxfield, Gwyn Johnston, Margaret Loveridge, Phyl Dinsdale.
