LONDON DISTRESS FUND CONTRIBUTIONS IN HAMILTON TOTAL STANDS AT £1467 The fund opened by the Waikato Times to provide necessities and comforts for the people of Londcvi, who have suffered as a result of the indiscriminate bombing by the Nazis, will close on Saturday. The fund today stands at £1467. Residents of Hamilton have recognised the value of the calm courage displayed by the civilian population of the capital of the Empire avid have given generously in an effort to she-?* their appreciation. Hitler’s intention is the breaking of the British people’s morale as a forerunner to a German victory, but he has found this task beyond him. A further encouragement to Londoners to hold on with characteristic determination is the appreciation that is being tangibly expressed throughout the Empire by the deviation of funds for relief purposes.
