GIVEN WARM RECEPTION EVACUEES FROM GIBRALTAR (United Press Asn. —Elec. Tel. copyright) LONDON, Oct. 10 Her Majesty the Queen today visited some centres in London in which civilians who were evacuated from Gibraltar have been accommodated. She spent a considerable time t liking to the people, who gave Her Majesty a most enthusiastic reception. She was particularly interested in the arrangements for their medical care and for the welfare of children.
She singled out for a special word here and there ex-soldiers wearing medals.
; On her departure Her Majesty was j cheered tumultuously. | The Duke of Kent visited Cardiff I by air and later made a tour of the ! city’s defences. He was also taken on | a tour of certain South Wales factories, where he was enthusiastically received.
