PATRIOTIC CONCERT
NATIONAL ENTERTAINERS The Raglan patriotic funds benefited to the extent of over £l4 as a result of a concert held in the Town Hall, Raglan, on Thursday night, by the Hamilton National Entertainers, who made the trip from Hamilton to assist in Raglan’s patriotic effort. The programme, which was a varied one, was appreciated by all. i Those taking part were—Miss Marie 1 Leech, Miss Helga Vernall, Mrs C. N. Wilson, Miss Val. Porter, Miss Patty ‘ Blake, Miss Leonie Swarbrick, Miss ! Lorna Bridges, Mr George Wheeler, Mr R. Braithwaite, Mr J. Churton, Mr G. Garvey Mr A. Bridges, Mr Allen Matthews, Mr T. C. Galloway. Officiating at the piano was Mrs N. M. Grant, assisted by Mr Gilmore, of Raglan. A small play entitled “Planem, Scanem and Co.” taking foi* its theme, I company promotions in Raglan, caused much amusement.
