GAY GARDENS
SPRING BLOOMS
Primroses are blooming Beside a silver stream, Where kingfishers are watching And waterlilies dream. The hyacinths are blowing, Waxen, pink and fair, And there’s freezia scents wafting Upon the soft Spring air. And ’neath the country hedges, Are buttercups of gold, While the tiny pink-tipped daisies The summer sunshine hold.
