WHATAWHATA FUNCTION
BENEFIT FOR RED CROSS 1 A jolly euchre and dance organised by the United Footballers’ Club in aid of the Red Cross fund was held in the Whatawhata Hall recently. Music for dancing was supplied by Clarry Cresswell’s Cotton Club Swing Band. A novelty dance was won by Miss D. Martin and Corporal Dines, the euchre winners being Mrs C. Carlinson, Mrs E. C. Peters, Mr J. T. Kempthorne and Mr C. Carlinson. Mr D. Cunningham was master of ceremonies.
