Copyright) (Received August 24, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 23 Although German sources at Amsterdam reported that British bombs today killed 16 people in the Netherlands the Times says that suspicion is growing. among the Netherlander that the Germans are deliberately causing explosions in Dutch towns. They are designed to induce the people to believe that the Royal Air Force is carrying out wanton bombardments. t The German-controlled Dutch wireless, reporting on the bombing of non-military objectives, twitted the British airmen on their bad aiming. The Royal Air Force headquarters carefully checked the date and reached the conclusion that British planes could not possibly have caused the damage, as they were either nowhere in the vicinity or had not raided the unoccupied area on the stated nights.
