PERSONAL
The Hen. R. Semple, Minister of National Service, is visiting Auckland in connection with the organisation of the Home Guard. Mr W. S. Goosman, M.P. for Waikato, returned home from Wellington this morning. Mr E. H. W. Kenny, of the Bank of Ne\V South Wales, Waverley, has been appointed manager at Cambridge. He takes up his new duties on Monday. Detective A. Moore, of Auckland, has been appointed to succeed De-tective-Sergeant A. J. White, who has been transferred from Hamilton to Rotorua. Messrs E. G. Scrimshaw, S. Clark and A. M. Richardson have been elected to the executive of the Auckland Provincial Funeral Directors’ Association as representatives of country areas. Detective-Sergeant A. J. White, who has been transferred from Hamilton to Rotorua, received a presentation from members of the Waikato Returned Soldiers’ Association as a mark of appreciation of his services as a member of the executive and as president.
