POULTRY, BUTTER AND EGGS THE AUCKLAND MARKETS AUCKLAND, Saturday The following prices were realised at the city markets:— Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 7s to 8s each; not prime, 5s to 6s; light, prime, 5s to 6s; not prime, 2s 6d to 4s; fat hens, heavy, 5s to 7s; light, 4s to 5s 6d; drakes, young, prime, 4s to ss; ducks, young, 4s to ss; geese, 4s 6d to 5s 6d; turkey hens, 6s to 8s; gobblers, 10s to 18s; cockerel chicks, heavy breeds, Id; light, Id. Butter and Eggs.—Eggs: Hen, standard grade, Is 6£d a dozen; duck, standard grade, Is 6£ri. Farmers’ butter, Is to Is 6£d per lb.
