TALK ON JAVA

THE LEAGUE OF MOTHERS The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the League of Mothers was held recently, Mrs R. Street presiding. Several visitors were welcomed and a letter from Moffat, the link branch in Scotland, was read. Songs by Mrs Hale and Mrs Murphy were greatly enjoyed. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs Bullock, who gave an interesting and amusing account of her visit to Java. Specimens of native work in beaten silver were shown to the members. Mrs Street thanked the singers and speaker and presented each with a dainty posy. Afternoon tea brought to a close an enjoyable afternoon.
