REPEAL OF TAX
ADVICE IN SOUTH BILL AT EARLY DATE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Tuesday Early action is to be taken by the Government to repeal the clause in the recent Land and Income Tax Amendment Act taxing gifts to charitable institutions. This advice has been received by the Dunedin Presbytery from the general treasurer of the Presbyterian Church, Mr V. G. Chapman. The advice from Mr Chapman stated that the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, had agreed to repeal the clause. Effect would be given to this promise in a bill to be introduced at an early date
