ANNUAL MEETING
TAUPIRI GIRL GUIDES The annual meeting of the Taupiri Girl Guides was held recently, when Commissioner E. Allan presided. Mrs J. Murphy presented the annual report and balance sheet. The company is in a very satisfactory position, holding a credit balance. Much regret was felt at the resignation of the secretary, Mrs J. Murphy, and all wished her better health, and thanked her for her valuable service during the past years. Guider Miss E. Silvester read the report on the year’s work, which showed that the girl guides were very active. The election of officers for the present year resulted as follows: — Secretary and treasurer, Mrs R. Fransham; executive committee, Mrs T. Reekie and Mrs A. L. Button; committee, Mesdames J. Murphy, W. Moore, R. Sweetman, W. Waring, J. D. Bruce, S. Mathers, A. Button, T. Reekie, L. Foley.
