Wet Canteens
When it was reported to the Waikato Presbytery today that it was the Government’s indention to introduce wet canteens into territorial camps, where many of the trainees were under 21 years of age, Presbytery registered its protest against the proposal, and referred the matter to the Church Courts with a request that they also take action. A current joke, not openly told in Moscow, is that “Stalin has had all his old friends executed; now he is falling back on mere acquaintances,”
