A Whole Time Job
Through having to prepare no fewer than 66 reports for the Government throughout the year, secretaries of dairy companies were compelled to maintain one clerk, whose time was almost wholly devoted to watching the affairs of each company, stated Mr W. Hall in addressing suppliers at the annual meeting of the Waitara-Taranaki Co-operative Dairy Company. Victim of Vandalism The second time in a fortnight, windows in a fruit and confectionery shop at Papakura belonging to Mr Edward Rothschild, a refugee from Germany, were broken early yesterday morning. An iron bar 3i't. 6in. long, similar to the axle of a topdresser, was picked up by the police. On the previous occasion on which the windows were broken. July 23, a similar piece of iron was found. Mr Rothschild has been in New Zealand for about 15 months and purchased the business about live months ago.
