COMING FLOWER SHOW
CENTENNIAL FIXTURE HAMILTON SOCIETY’S EVENT With classes representative of all kinds of seasonal flowers, the Hamilton Horticultural Society’s Centennial flower show will be held in Alexandra Hall on Thursday and Friday of next week. The Auckland flower show having been abandoned, the Hamilton fixture will be the biggest attraction of its kind in the province and is expected to draw entries from many parts of the North Island. Exhibitions of dahlias and gladioli will play a prominent part in the show. The schedule also includes cut flower and decorative classes, competitions for the Women’s Institute Shield, and vegetable and fruit sections. The judges for the fixture will be as follows: Dahlia and gladioli, Mr A. J. Shailer (Palmerston North); cut flowers, Mr M. H. Williams (Te Awamutu); decorative classes, Mrs R. S. Whitley (Cambridge); vegetables, Mr J. Ballard (Hamilton),
