DEPARTMENTAL INSPECTOR ADMITTED TO PROBATION (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday Randolph Aubrey Nock was admitted to probation for two years when he appeared in court on a charge of failing to account for and pay to the Labour Department sums amounting to £8 14s Bd. DetectiveSergeant Sinclair said Nock was a factory inspector employed by the Labour Department. In November he collected certain moneys for the department but had not paid them in to the office. The shortage was discovered and the matter traced to Nock.

Nock, who pleaded guilty, said he could not account for his action.
