SAVOURY FILLINGS
Sandwich fillings come under two headings—sweet and savoury. Her© are some practical suggestions for savoury fillings:— Cold ham, corned beou. poultry or fish, finely chopped. Hard-boiled eggs, mashed and seasoned with pepper and salt, with a sprinkling of curry powder; or creamed with cheese. Cold haricot, Boston or butter beans, mashed and seasoned with tomato sauce, or with lemon juice.
Cucumber thinly sliced and sea- j soned with mayonnaise. Cheese, sliced or creamed, and ; with lettuce as secondary filling. Finely minced bacon, and mixed | with chopped hard boiled eggs.
