Y.W.C.A. MEETING
NEW SECRETARY WELCOMED The first meeting of the year of the Y.W.C.A. executive was held in the lounge last Wednesday. Miss Hazel Williamson, who has taken up her duties as Y.W.C.A. secretary, was warmly welcomed. Miss Williamson has had considerable experience in Y.W.C.A. work and has been for the past three years Girls’ Work Secretary at Christchurch, this position placing her in touch with girls under the age pf 18. It is interesting to note that with New Plymouth and Wanganui, the Hamilton Y.W.C.A. holds the distinction of being run in conjunction with the Y.M.C.A. In anticipation of an active year, many renovations have been capably and attractively carried out by the executive, and the support of the members is earnestly desired in the forthcoming season. Those present were:—Mesdames H. Toombs, J. R. Fow, H. E. Jacka, F. Herbert, B. Wooahams, S. Gilbert, M. Gall, A. Miller, Morris, H. B. Luxford. Misses H. Williamson, F. Young, M. Bell, Coulston, B. Phillips and Mr Johnston, Y.M.C.A. secretary.
