WEDDING
GANE—HARDEN IVORY SATIN GOWN The wedding was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Te Awamutu, on Saturday, February 10, of Joan Ivy, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs L. G. Harden, Te Awamutu, and Selwyn Hosking, elder son of Mr and Mrs L. N. Gane, of Te Kawa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. Spencer and Mrs McEwen, of Waiuku, presided at the organ. The bride was wearing a charming gown of ivory satin riche, cut on classical lines and designed with long fitting sleeves. She a lovely veil of embroidered tulle and carried a bouquet of white dahlias and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Nora Harden, as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of hydrangea blue taffeta fashioned with a fitting bodice and a flared skirt. Her bouquet was of gerberas, delphiniums and maidenhair fern. Mr Arthur Partridge was best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs Harden received her guests wearing a floral navy sheer ensemble with toning accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a teal blue frock, a matching swagger coat and navy accessories and she carried a posy of autumn-shaded flowers. Mr and Mrs S. H. Gane will make their home in Te Awamutu.
