TODAY’S RECIPE DEEP-DISH APPLE TAPIOCA
l-3rd cup tapioca (minute tapioca is best). £ cup seedless raisins £ cup sugar 3 tart apples (thinly sliced). \ teaspoon salt { teaspoon nutmeg 2 tablespoons butter (loz). 2$ cups hot water £ cup golden syrup £ teaspoon cinnamon. Combine ingredients in a greased baking dish. Mix well and bake in a moderate oven for one hour or until apples are done, stirring well, once after the first ten minutes of baking. Serve hot or cold, with cream if desired.
