The British War Office announces a further list of eight names of Üboat prisoners.
The British community in the Argentine has despatched £20,000 to the British Patriotic Fund. To date the donations from the British community in the Argentine have totalled £60,000, and another £60,000 is promised.
Already between 2000 and 3000 Britons have volunteered in London for service in Finland.
During the first 11 weeks of the British national savings campaign over £80,000,000 was raised, which was nearly four times the anticipated rate.
