TWO-YEAR EXPANSION SCHEME MANY MORE WARSHIPS (United Pi ess Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyrlgru, WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 In spite of the Senate’s Appropriations Committee’s 111.699,000 dollars cut in the Navy’s 1941 funds, the Naval Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives unanimously approved a two-year expansion scheme to cost 655,000,000 dollars and the authorisation of the construction of 21 more warships, 22 more auxiliaries and 1000 aeroplanes. The Navy Bill at present limits the Navy to a two-year programme, compared with the original six-yea: programme.
