MINE WILL RESUME
WALLSEND DISPUTE ENDS -Special to Times) GREYMOUTH, Thursday The Wallsend Mine, idle since January 22 on account of a dispute over the basis of holiday pay. will resume on Monday next. No details are available as to the arrangements made between the Government and Brunner Collieries, Limited, the operators of the mine, but a further conference between the company and the Minister of Mines, the Hon, P. C. Webb, will take place in Wellington next week. The Liverpool mine, which was idle on Tuesday on account of heating in the Morgan East section, where an extensive fire occurred about 15 months ago, will resume on Monday. The erection of a new line of stoppings is proceeding satisfactorily.
