c*icarrot farcwelled (Special to Times) HUNTLY, Thursday Prior to his departure from Huntly shortly to take up residence at Auckland, Mr B. Outhwaite was presented by Mr W. H. Harris, president of the Huntly Senior Cricket Club, on behalf or the club mem bers and supporters, with a fountain pen and pencil. Mr Outhwaite lias been acting- secretary to the club during the present season and had been secretary for two scas<ms The present season Is his seventh as aeorer for the club In making the presentation, Mr Harrla on behalf of the club, expressed thanks to Mr Outhwaite for his valuable services to the club and wished him health and happiness In his new surrounding*. Mr A. Haycock, secreary of the Itruxton cricket team. Auckland, speaking as a visitor, extended an Invitation to Mr Outhwaite to the Suburban Cricket At aoelatlon. Mr Outhwaite suitably replied. PULPIT DEDICATED J. E. ZIMMERMAN MEMORIAL The new memorial pulpit at St. Paul's AnKllcan Church, Huntly, was recently dedicated by the Bishop of the Piocese, the Rt. Rev. c. A. Cherrlnyton. There was a large congregation. The pulpit was erected In memory of Mr John K. Zimmerman, who in 1906 in the Huntly parish began his 30 years’ service as lay-reader. Arter leaving Huntly to become a native school teacher. Mr Zimmerman eontmued to assist as lay-reader in the church in this diocese, and was later in the Waiupu and Christchurch diocesea. He died at I’apatoetoe in March. 1937. The present vicar of Ft. Paul's Church, Huntly. is the Rev. J. c. v Zimmerman, son of the ;,r» \n J -hu i /in,merman.
