Money Sent To Soldiers The Ashburton Returned Soldiers’ Association resolved to recommend the Dominion executive to urge the Government to amend the regulations to allow the prompt dispatch of money to soldiers on leave overseas, as under existing conditions the money might not reach them before their leave expired.
Fall in Temperature Unseasonable weather conditions which have been experienced in the Waikato recently became still further like winter yesterday with a marked decrease in the temperature. Again to-day almost wintry conditions were experienced, and warm clothes became more apparent in women’s wear than the usual light summer garb. Overcoats of the warmer type have in many instances replaced the lighter summer shower-proof over garments. In Hamilton this afternoon the temperature was only 68 degrees and the coolness of the atmosphere was further accentuated by the chill in the wind. Occasional showers were experienced also*, ————■
