GERMAN CLAIMS
AMERICA NOT WORRIED RIGHT TO TORPEDO NEUTRALS (United Press .\ssn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 15, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 Government circles are not worried over the German claims regarding the “theoretical right” to torpedo American vessels taken to British control ports. The opinion is expressed that the statement is an attempt to minimise the torpedoing of the Burgerdijk. It is felt that as submarine attacks speeded the United States entry into the Great War it is unlikely that the Nazis will repeat them.
