OLD WEST SCHOOL
USE BY TECHNICAL PUPILS CHANGE-OVER WHEN VACATED As a result of representations from the Department of Education, the Auckland Education Board has decided to place at the disposal of the Hamilton Technical College, the Hamilton West primary school when it is vacated by the pupils about May when the new school at Richmondmond Estate is expected to be ready for occupation. Information to this effect was received by the Hamilton Technical College Board of Managers last night. The board discussed likely uses for the primary school buildings, which it was considered would relieve the accommodation problem at the technical school. The workshop committee, with the addition of the principal, Mr W. Fraser, and Mr C. J. Champness, was deputed to report i upon the matter at the next meeting } as it was desired to have arrangements completed when the school was vacated by the primary children so that it could be occupied by technical classes immediately.
