HONOURED IN SYDNEY
90th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED (United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) SYDNEY, Feb. 13 The Roman Catholic community gathered in force at a public reception to-night in the Town Hall in honour of the 90th birthday of Archbishop Kelly, whose condition of health permitted only a brief attendance, accompanied by his own doctor, when he was presented with a cheque for £IOOO and an address from the Catholics of the Sydney Archdiocese.
All members of the Consular Corps, representatives of the Government and the Lord Mayor and Aldermen were present. Archbishop Kelly is the oldest prelate in the Christian world in control of a diocese. He succeeded Cardinal Moran in 1911, and has spent over £12,000,000 in the erection of Catholic Church properties.
