Young Woman Missing
A young woman, Miss Sidney Susette Allen, aged 23, who left her home in Hawker Street. Wellington, at 3.15 p.m. on Sunday, saying she was going for a swim, has not been seen since. Miss Allen is sft. 2in. in height, has curly hair, brown eves and olive complexion. She was last seen wearing a rust-coloured swagger coat and print frock. She had no hat. A Delightful Town “I was impressed with all I saw and we enjoyed the day very much. New Plymouth is a most delightful town, and I should like to congratulate you and your predecessors on the amenities of the town. I have never seen more beautiful parks and gardens.” In these terms. Sir Harry Batterbee. High Commissioner in New Zealand for the United Kingdom, has written to the Mayor of New Plymouth.
