MOTORIST GUILTY
NEGLIGENT DRIVING CASE (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Tuesday A jury in the Supreme Court found Thomas Henry Wise, salesman, aged 39, guilty of negligently driving a motor-car, thereby causing the death Qf Alexander Crawford Steele, aged 86. A. recommendation for mercy was added. The case followed a collision between two motorcars at the intersection of View Road and Esplanade Road, Mount Eden, on May 14, 1939. Mr Justice Callan remanded accused for sentence until Friday.
