CONCERT PARTY

VISIT TO HOPU HOPU CAMP A pleasant time was spent last night by a large number of soldiers encamped at Hopu Hopu when a concert party arranged by Mrs D. Bradley visited “canvastown.” The programme opened with a community sing led by Mr Ken Bradley, in which “the boys” heartily joined. Songs were given by Miss Mona Bradley, Mrs Norah Wilson, Mr Brian Williams and Mr H. Wood. Miss Y. McLaughlin delighted her audience witri ’cello solos, Mrs D. Bradley witn humorous recitations, Mr F. Redman with comet solos and Mr Sid Ashworth with magic. The acccompanists were Mrs McLaughlin, Mr Ken Bradley and Mr Bernard Wilson.
