WOMEN’S SINGLES AUSTRALIANS TO MEET (By Telegraph.—Tress Association) WELLINGTON, Monday. The semi-finals of the men’s and women’s singles which were interrupted by rain on Saturday were resumed when play in the New Zealand Centennial tennis championships began at 12.45 p.m. today. Brilliant sunshine with a fresh northerly wind provided ideal conditions, and well-filled galleries were treated to some sparkling tennis. Results: — Women’s Singles Semi-finals.—Miss T. Coyne (Australia) beat Miss M. Hafcdcastle (Australia) 3-6, 6-4. 9-7. Miss Coyne now meets Miss N. Wynne (Australia; in the final tomorrow.
