THREE INJURED

COLLISION BETWEEN CARS (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday Three persons were injured in a collision between two motor-cars at the intersection of New North Road, Mount Albert Road, and Gladstone Road, at 12.50 a.m. yesterday. They were taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance, and their condition last night was not serious. The victims were Mrs Ella Maud Hunt, widow, of Newmarket, who suffered concussion and a fractured shoulder blade; Miss Margaret Hammond, clerk, aged 18, of Newmarket, concussion; and Mr Jack Clifford Noble, salesman, single, aged 20. Grey Lynn, concussion and an injury to the right hand. One car was driven by Mrs Hunt, who was accompanied by her daughter. Miss Phyllis Hunt, who escaped injury, and Miss Hammond. The other driver was Mr Liston William Jones, of 337 Victoria Street. Hamilton, in whose car Mr Noble and a young woman were passengers. Mr Jones and the young woman were not hurt. FATALITY IN SOUTH GIRL OF NINE KILLED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Sunday A child Mae Miller, aged nine, was knocked down by a motor-car late this afternoon and died before reaching hospital. FARMER STRUCK BY CAR When he was walking along the main south road at Te Rapa on Saturday night, Mr James O’Brien, aged 56. a farmer, of Rotokauri, was struck by a car driven by Mr L. A. Mitchell and received head injuries. He was taken to the Waikato Hospital. where his condition is not serious.
